Llanfendigaid Caravan Site

Went to this site this weekend - http://www.llanfendigaid.co.uk/caravan-club-home.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

South of Barmouth - 6miles from Twywn - which was good for the ice cream shop - the beach was naff. IMHO.

Lovely quiet place - Caravan Club members only on the CL site - which had great pitches. Swimming pool is nice - we did get a bit of discount on its use as I do think £15 a night a little expensive - it doubles the site fee - but was well kept and at a good temperature.

The location also rents cottages - and the house, which apparently has been in the same family for 800years or so. The main house sleeps 19 in 9 bedrooms.

About a mile or so from the sea - the beach we went to was very quiet with very few people on it - Saturday only saw 2 others, though Sunday was a little busier with about 6 people on it.

Golden sand with some rocks - but you do have to walk 1/4 mile or so to get to it - which seemed to put many off - which is excellent!
