Censor software over sensitive?

Post by PillowSmuggler » Thu May 03, 2012 11:53 am

Why is any valid innocent word with c r a p embedded in it automtically censored as in s c r a p i n g or s c r a p
yet Scunthorpe is OK?

Is there an issue with the censor settings/database?

I have noticed that when it does this, the word :c e n s o r e d : appears in the text rather than the :censored: icon.

Scrap! It's working now

Thanks Stu - easy fix??

Is the getting an actually censored word to use the icon instead of the text as easy?

No.

It seems to do the word censoring after it converts the short text to the icons.

If I set the censoring correctly, the poo icon doesn't come out as :poo: becuase of the icon name is the same as a censored word.

Understand; but if that's the only reason, why not just delete the word 'p o o' from the restricted words list? It's commonly in use by 3 year olds, so hardly worthy of censoring...

   Well in fairness I've heard the Scunthorpe word from (thankfully someone elses) three year old before now so that might not be the best measure
