Four new boots and twenty new nuts just gone on. Tomorrow's job (again, not for me) is the rear upper arms/wishbones.

Also taken delivery of the service kit from AF, but that can wait until after the Wild Wales Weekend.

February's job is to try and make the books balance!!!

Fitted light guards...well when I say "fitted" I mean middle son fitted them

Thing is I never bought any light guards...ever...

Still - as long as he paid who am I to argue...?

Yup. They make for a nice soundtrack on the road. Goes well with my new Cliff Richard album.

Thread Split to put Bodsy's engine change in it's own topic in the Projects section.

Perhaps a too minor a happening for this illustrious thread, but here go3s anyway.

4 months into the ownership of my first Land Rover, took her in for my first MOT.

Passed with flying colours, not a single advisory; and no mention of LED lamps or blanked EGRs despite changes coming this month.

Big sigh of relief.

That’s great news. Hoping your luck rubs off on me for my D4’s MOT tomorrow.

Thanks, and good luck!

I’d gone over as much as I could, but it was more the emissions side of things and EGR blanks I was concerned about.

But, done now

Most MOT testers don't know what to look for as a rule - and it depends how you've blanked them - leaving the pipes in place means its almost impossible to spot.
