Bungle is getting a treat over the next couple of weeks. MOT due on 24th.

New air springs all round.
Front lowers
Rear uppers
Steering links
Fix washer bottle pump leak
Fix sun roof leak
If i can get to it, i think the turbo rod is stiff, getting some noise from there when accelerating.
Probably new brake flexi hoses and some fresh DOT 4/5

Was thinking of removing and cleaning the intercooler, however that looks ok compared to the effort needed to get it out.

Progress:-

Air springs are now out.
O/S Front arm de-bolted.
Need to buy a decent ball joint splitter now.

I treated myself to one of these:-

A most excellent tool, front hub nuts just zipped off.

Re the D3, gearbox being rebuilt as we speak. Kidney anyone, or has JF flooded the market?

And re the D4, nothing. It just gets on with life. :thumbright:

Is this a full rebuild back at Bristol Transmissions? Are they going to replace the TC as well again?

No, BT emphasised that the TC they fitted 16 months ago and 18k miles was outside warranty so decided no point taking it there. Their suggestion was bung some Dr Tranny in there. It's with the auto gearbox peeps in Hailsham. With the vibration I'm getting it looks like TC but with the flaring (techie term) it points to the rest of the box being shagged.

As they say, hey ho it's only money. I just look at it as a small chunk of the inheritance gone for the nieces & nephews.

Fair enough Del. There must be quite a few decent Auto box specialists around - its just knowing who!

All four corners done, just need to nip up some of the bolts.
Rain stopped play.

Have fitted new brake hoses all round.
Need to get some class 6 DOT 4 now before undoing the old set.

My parking break makes a hell of a scream too. Got to fix that.

Do it quickly before it knackers the module - if you have to pull the fuse - though don't ask me which one!

No advisories, I was rather surprised to say the least.

Drives nice now.

I still have to fix the leak into the blower/pollen filter that is filling the cable trough on the passenger side though.

From memory, that is sometimes as simple as the rubber bonnet sealing strip being pulled away in the corner allowing water down the back.
