Is that by the coast near Harlech? Nice part of the world, wherever it is to be fair!

Hi Everyone,

Finally joined after acquiring my D3 TDV6 HSE last November :D

Based in West Yorks previously had a 300Tdi and also a Td5 years back (in addition to an X5 and a couple of Hilux).

Always loved LR and now back in the fold.

Also a biker.

Hoping (knowing) I can learn some things & perhaps offer help too.

Right - I’m off for a rummage through the board :thumbright:

Cheers

Paul

Hi, i have 2 posts already and i did not introduce me self.. sorry
So my name is Rytis, owner of 2005 D3, HSE. 315K on the dash
Bought in good condition compared for the price.
The front was sinking overnight, so i cleaned and changed orings on front valve... - issue solved.
Changed engine oil and all filters.
Belts are ok.
Wanted to change diff oils, but then start doing it i saw fresh oil in it, so left as is.
wheel we terrible, so i painted in black ( D3 is black)
headliner had few age spots there and there.. painted in black.
So far, so good.. happy owner. Waiting now for air suspention sruts to go dawn, becouse they still factory original and they bad looking... so i wait..
So thats my story...

I changed the struts in mine at about 160k - and needn't have bothered as there wasn't much difference with the new ones.

Good you seem to have one that has been looked after. So many now are maintained on a shoestring and they are beasts that need good maintenance.

Oh and Wekcome!

Hi to all.
I've visited the sight a few times. I acquired a 2011 Discovery 4 early last year. Initially I was looking for a van of any description as I had to empty my recently deceased mum's house. Having owned several land rovers, I realised that the 7 seater ticked all the boxes.
The vehicle has now been fitted with tree sliders and a swing away spare wheel carrier, amongst a few other bits'n'bobs. In between lockdowns we did the North Coast 500 as a tester for Norway and the arctic circle in summer next year (touch wood). It's got a complete history and I do the occasional additional engine oil change.
Looking forward to developing some spannering skills.

Have a look around here - its a tad quiet but there is lots of information - and if you post stuff up (Please!) then it will get answered eventually - and the more stuff that gets posted the more it will become active!

Welcome! :hello:

When you say educator, do you mean teacher?
