D4

Post by Stu » Sun Dec 18, 2016 5:31 pm

Well I thought I'd start a new thread.

I have bought a D4 to replace our poorly D3.

It's been a mare, I had significantly better customer service when I was buying a hoover last week but I think we've finally managed to sort it. In fact I got better customer service buying almost anything else recently.

I even had to tell the dealer about the car as he didn't know anything about it despite it being in his stock! Another branch knew about it but he didn't!

Then they put the finance through after 6pm on Friday and explain they can't get it paid out till Monday - why not do it at 11am when I say I'll have it and complete the order forms!

Anyway enough of that, the Disco is a D4 HSE in Orkney Grey and Ebony leather with privacy glass, and split sunroof (means the middle sun roof opens) and some different wheels. 38k miles on it and a working engine! Well I've assumed it has! It's got a 2yr LR warranty so it should be good.

8spd box is nice - or at least when I've driven the D4 at Eastnor on a couple of courses and when we went to Gaydon it was a much nicer feel than the 6spd - possible though mine was pre-rebuild so not at its best!

MY12 engine will be better than previous years, but not as good as later ones - but probably only small updates - and inevitable :thumbright:
