Buying advice needed from the US

Post by jeffvb9 » Fri Jan 19, 2018 4:56 am

About to purchase my 3d Rover. Need to get some help with my LR4 purchase happening Saturday.

Option 1: 2011 LR4 HSE Fuji White with Black interior 39,000 miles for $28k US.

Option 2: 2013 LR4 LUX with Black package Fully loaded Black with Black interior 51,000 miles for $32,500 US.

Having trouble deciding. Any thoughts here? I'm leaning towards the he 2013 I think but the 2011 is a great deal with very low miles!!!

Firstly, welcome to the forum :thumbright:

If it were me, based purely on specs and colour, I'd go for the 2013 - I'm not wild about white cars though I wouldn't not have one if everything else was right about it.

But condition and history is more relevant.

Good luck :thumbright:

If I'm right the 2011 has the 6-sp auto box and may not come with Xenons, but the 2013 will have the 8sp and Xenons. Think the seats are more comfortable from about that age on too.

I know it's $4.5k difference but surely it's got to be worth the extra. And the few extra miles between the two are negligible. Let's face it, a near 5 year old car that's only done 10k miles a year...yes please!

As anglefire said, check condition/history though.

Something else to consider is that the 2011 LR4 may only have had 5 seats, the 2013 had the extra rear seats for an additional 2 passengers.

Also not sure if I was right about the 8sp in the 2013. Think the V8 may have stuck with the 6sp.

Good choice. Now it’s time to get your wallet out and start with the upgrades, updates and must-haves.
