Post by Fattylr » Sun Sep 01, 2013 6:51 pm

Hi, new member....1st post.

Has anyone used the 'Monarch' garage in Glasgow for service and/or repairs to Land Rovers ?

2007 Discovery 3 GS just purchased.

Thanks......

Dunno how far you are away from Disco Micky's place (He is on the other side and well respected)

Thanks for the prompt response guys.
Strathearn looks to be about 50 miles from me, whereas Monarch are about 3 miles away.

Just bought the D3 two weeks ago with MOT included, but would consider having a service done before winter....if not TOO costly.

Last service was at 46K miles, mileage now at 50K.
Previous services were done at Taggarts (Dealer). I know they are very costly, and don't have a great reputation for customer service.

Trust me, the extra 47 miles each way will be well worth it to have someone that knows what they are doing. These are temprimemtal beasts and the more experience a garage has the better. I use a LR export dealer 20 miles away from home but have another "normal" dealer 4 miles away, it boils down to who you trust to both do the job and not screw you over in the process.

Disco Mikey is the man and as Derek says, an extra 47miles is nothing considering the service you'll receive. He's well respected in the field.

Thanks for the sound advice and recommendation guys.
Word of mouth compliments are usually hard to find for garages.

I take it that Disco Mikey is present at Strathearn...is he also a member of the forum?

He's a member on the other forum, the one that likes to dabble every now and again in things vaguely D3 related. Search for DISCO3 and CO and UK.
