If people wont check the forum they wont check an app and possibly wont have an iphone!. Talk about narrowing your target, might as well use semophore.

I've got some tin cans and string..........

Being serious, I think this needs to be a emailed newsletter so that the members that don't go on the forum get the latest news etc, with links to the forum.

It is also got to be opt out able too - otherwise some might get :censored: and consider it spam. :tumbleweed:

i think a number of options are appropriate rather than just one.

For me, i hate emailed newsletters and just end up deleting them or unsubscribing. If i want to know whats happening i'll go and have a look (using the iphone app  ).

for others they may prefer emailed newsletters.

Could there not be a Yearly Magazine Publication, showing all the activities with small write up from
the members that have held the event, with pictures. There could also have an advert for each of the Sponsors with in the magazine. Just an idea or would it be too expensive. ;)

Clem, nice idea. Would'nt be that expensive if sponsors cotributed in return for advertising too.
