Yea tried and tested mate im happy with it. I put a wood mat down first, about an inch thick which i would use in the field.
Hasn't got a locater stud but i prefere that. You could make a bracket or it gives you fudge factor in location. Comon sense used obviously. lol

So what height do these jack up to, and how is the jack pumped up? It looks from the photo like you turn it to pump it up?! Is that correct? Thanks :thumbright:

The jack goes to 42.5cm from top to toe. Yes it is a continous turning thingy. As a temporary solution till my handle arrived you can use the two rods that come with the scissor jack. Just use the rods the opposite way you would use for the scissor jack and put a ring spanner in the hook end.
Sounds dodgy i know, but it isn't. gave me a chance to raise front and back still no drama's. Not a fast way to do it though.
Still used wood board under the jack. :thumbright:

It's got to be 100% improvement on the OEM scissor type and not too bulky as a replacement either!

This jack works on air suspension vehicles OK?

Phil, I agree no matter how unstable it is on an air suspension car, it has to be better than the supplied jack. I'm surprised the decision to allow the use of that flimsy scissor jack on a 3 ton vehicle hasn't led to a manslaughter prosecution tbh. It is imho only a matter of time.

I've ordered one in the hope it is indeed the nirvana I'm searching for, and just have to sneak out to a building site late one evening to saw a foot off a scaffold plank to use as the base for it.

Stick it under the wishbone for quick wheel changing. Perfectly safe :thumbright:

If you want a handle for it I'm ordering one for myself from my local dealer this week. If lucky, they'll extend my 20% discount to a 2nd one! Let me know

Thanks for the offer Phil, appreciate it but am going to see if I like it first before shelling out twice as much on a handle.

If I do like it I'm thinking of converting the gearbox off an electric scissor jack( like the one Nick has) to do the job....
