This should be fine as it needs to be single female to twin male

It's Green with a Brown trace for the Positive. The earth I usually put to the earth points that are behind the panel to avoid cutting into any more wires than necessary.

Out of interest, Ian, if the camera is wired power from a permanent ign live does the GVIF still switch to it automatically in reverse? Probably a stupid question but just curious as I may rewire mine. Thought it may be necessary to use a switching relay?
Also has anyone found a better place to mount the box, I'd like to put it in the upper glove box but ISTR it is limited by a cable?
And one more thing I've installed a DAB system that uses one of the GVIF video outputs to display the stations through the Sat Nav and plays through the Aux input, anyone wants details I'll find a link.

Yes the GVIF still switches to the reverse cam regardless of how you have the reverse cam powered up. Its the reverse 'live' wire that switches the GVIF to that input. If you have nothing connected to the GVIF rear-c input, then you will get a black screen :thumbright:

I've installed a TV module with the Digital radio channels and a USB input for media, It was one of the higher end units, so very compact and installed under the seat next to the GVIF.

I will shortly be installing one of these for another customer along with the GVIF bundle.

Has Digital TV and DAB channels and is at a keen price. Not sure on the quality of the aerials, but seems to have reasonable reviews. :thumbright:

OK, thanks for that, it must be about 3 years since I fitted mine!

The DAB unit is similar to mine except mines radio only. You will have to fit a roof aerial or similar, spend about £20 - £30 to get a good aerial it pays dividends.

Just personally would rather have any of these extra boxes somewhere other than under that seat, have you looked at extending the cable to the DVD?

I'm not sure how much loss you would get on the signal, but presumably 3 twisted pair could be spliced in. If I can get a spare interface cable, I'll give it a go splicing in. :thumbright:

They could be put in the boot side or in the glovebox if we can get a longer cable. I'll speak to Ian (Hids4U) :thumbright:

Sorry for dragging up an old thread, just wanted to check whether there were any of these still available on the group buy?
Just been going to things I need to get sorted for our two day drive to south of France and the idea I'd being able post a vid up on the Sat Nav screen was highly appealing to the missus....
