Ah.....they mean the BIG pin that holds it in the chassis......makes more sense now.
Why didn't they just do the 'recall' cos you'd have got a free one then :headbang:

Imagine a world with no hypothetical situations..........

Well that is an interesting question!

My Discovery 3 WAS recalled and checked under the recall scheme and given a clean bill of health.

However 4 weeks later and I am trying to move the same tow bar from the D3 to a D4 and 'suddenly' the lock no longer works!

That does sound fishy and I had not thought to question that.

I will call them tomorrow and ask some rather pointed questions I think.

Spoke with Harwoods service manager today and he asked me to take the tow bar back in and he will investigate further, very helpful.

I have my fingers crossed!

:offtopic: Mine was recalled, then they cancelled before I got there but I haven't been called again; should I be paranoid?

Okay a BIG thumbs up to Harwoods Basingstoke service department.

They offered to take another look at my jammed tow bar but were unable to fix it.

However they did manage to 'find' me a replacement.

Good service needs to be mentioned and congratulated and for me this was excellent service.
