I've added the ability to easily link the files from the gallery to a thread on the forum.

All you need to do is grab the BBCode from the file information.

To do this, just click on the File information button - this is a toggle, so you only need to do it once to have the information displayed for all subsequent files. Click it again to hide the info.

At the bottom of the information box, there are two BBCode options, thumbnail and normal size.

Copy and then paste into the thread.

You've noticed there's now two methods to upload your images, Multiple files- Flash driven, or Simple, one at a time. ;)

Thanks Dom, was a bit of a pain to get sorted, but got there in the end. It's apparently credit to the original theme author that the conversion went so well, with just a couple of extra bits to make it work with the new version of Coppermine. Which, I hasten to add, are all documented in the upgrade instructions!

I do like the quick links too - one reason why I did it - though as they are an addon it was probably something that we could have done with the old version.

Well, yes there was a couple of plugins for the old version that did almost the same job. But you done the right thing to be honest. We stopped all support for Coppermine 1.4.xx on 1st December 2010, so there was no security updates after that date. 1.5.xx was the only way to go. ;)

Thanks Mick, I hadn't realised you were a member of Coppermine support - amongst others!

Mark, I've been on the Admin team there for a while now. Started as a mere Coppermine user, then became a contributor, then dev team member, then they asked me to join the admin team in July 2011.

Not bad considering I was always getting told off for asking questions in the wrong boards etc. lol..

Just FYI

The old gallery upload had specific fields to allow the copying of images direct from a web link.
In not finding an equivalent in the new Gallery I had a play, and discovered how to do it, at least for later versions of windows.

If you need to do this, simply select the browse for a file button, and then paste the entire HTTP://some.image.loc/picture.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; into the file name field; windoze will go find it and present it to the gallery upload process so you can just continue from there as if it was on a local drive.

Shimples :)
