Rear car awning - easy and cheap

Post by Bodsy » Wed May 11, 2016 12:41 pm

I thought I'd give this a punt a couple of weeks ago. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... ID=EBAY-GB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Haven't had a chance to use it until this weekend just gone.
It's awesome! Only £50 and gives you a good area to chill in out of the rain or the sun. Takes only a couple of minutes to put up. Even easier with two people.

How would that be without guy ropes, but with an oztent ridge pole between the vertical poles. Thinking about practicalities if parked up to cook lunch or do a coffee but on Tarmac.

I think as long as you have the ridge pole a la oz tent style, it will still flop around. One paracord length to the centre and a brick or box or nearby tree etc would be fine.
Better with the guys out properly though for overnight etc.
