GAP Diagnostics

Post by countrywide » Fri Oct 09, 2015 9:05 am

I needed to swap my IID tool for a bluetooth to get some extra functionality I required, so I contacted Pat who offered to do a part exchange. My old tool arrived with him yesterday and bluetooth one was dispatched the same day and tracking details sent.

I had a couple of mails from Pat offering to add any extra measurements I might need to the tool as well when I get it.

You can't beat that level of response from a company. They buy back a tool I have had for several years and do a great deal on a bluetooth version to replace it. This is not a one off, it is a service they offer to everybody as well.

They are, by far, one of the best companies I've ever had to deal with. Especially bearing in mind the complexities of the tool, there cars and its varied user base!

Perhaps they could give Prospeed some lessons in customer service! :-)

It's all up and running, I do like the BT interface on the iPad.

I am awaiting some updates to be done on the Evoque for engine management, it will be interesting to see if it smooths out the idle. Apparently Land Rover had a couple of bugs in the 2014/15 models and a update should make it smoother when returning to idle.

Pat, I guess there is no way to update the Evoque PCM as it is locked isn't it ?
