Skips!

Post by anglefire » Tue Nov 20, 2018 7:13 am

Had a skip delivered on Saturday so that I could get rid of a couple of tonnes of soil and the old shed after laying the slab for the new one that comes next week.

I went effectively through a broker as I could specify delivery (They all do that bit!) and collection (They don't do that generally that I could see, just ring and we'll collect sometime in the future)

Was due to be collected yesterday - but it didn't happen - despite me chasing them to give a rough time and them saying "In the afternoon as the order!"

After about 6pm, I sent another email to say it hadn't been picked up and that no one will necessarily be in today.

Well, at 6:55 this morning the skip company turned up to collect it!

I then had to move the two cars in front of it and mine out of the way to let him pick it up.

My neighbours must be cursing me now, as its a) not a quiet job, b) has very bright lights that made the sun look dim
