web traffic

Post by Non Stick Nick » Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:23 am

Good morning all.

Is there a magic software package that will analyse the traffic to my website. I want to know who visits it, how lang they stay & what they look at on the site. Not a lot really.

Over to you more tecky minds.

Cheers

Nick

There's quite a number of ways to go about it.
Is the website hosted / managed by you? If so, there's a load of tools that can put some visualisation over the web logs.

Alternatively, something like google analytics is a fantastic service, but I believe you'll need to add some code to your pages which pokes the appropriate data into the engine.

Google Analytics is good and widely used. Most host will provide you with reports etc.
