Mines the M Sport plus too Gary - the suspension is firm - but I can live with that - the runflats - well whatever, anyway the spare wheel hole has a hulking great battery in it. Recon you could start the earth with it
I have got a squeak in mine - thought it was suspension (And it still might be) but I also think it might be the tonnow cover cos the noise is generally after the bump. Must try driving with out it over the boot.
The Pro nav is very good - 10.5" screen which you can split - and has live traffic info - which is brilliant - it is subscription, but worth every penny - whatever the renewal cost will be in July.

Re: New car
If you visit the BMW forums there's your fair share of horror stories too Del., especially with the 2l Diesel engine.
Mine was top notch though, only in garage for a "while you wait service" (the dealer did try it on for a new set of discs....they lasted another 20,000 miles and were still ok when I got shot)
If it wasn't costing me a fortune in tyres and cracked rims then I would have held onto it another year. Probably more to do with the state of the roads round here than the car tbh, but still a faff, plus someone drive up the back of it and they're never quite the same after a shunt.

Re: New car
Yesh, the 2ltr doesn't have a good rep - whicj is why I went for the 3ltr - plus I'd always fancied one - and averaging 42mpg is fine by me - though f=driving like Del, and its showing over 55

Re: New car
I did get 62mpg on a long haul driving at the same speed as I do in the D3, not far off half the consumption. However also got high 40s sitting at 75 - 85mph so settled for that. I didn't find the 2.0 lump at all bad, enough go for me especially if using the paddles.
If only I could think of something useful to type here!!

Re: New car
The 2ltr is not a bad engine - just prone to failure apparently - cam chain fails. Not that any engine is bullet proof, the 3ltr seems to not be so bad.
I rarely use the paddles - sometimes just to knock it down a cog to slip into a gap on the motorway - but not that often.
