Velar was nice but boot too small. Got a great deal from Guy Salmon in Port Solent - Black D4 for sale shortly!

It's very erratic already - sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn't.

I'll try and un do the screws :whistle:

Yes, that could well be the issue. Sounds like it. After two or 3 cycles though the thing doesn't even work. Assume the little electric motor in the actuator could be gone.

Is there a way to tell it is the actuator and nothing else?

Could it be an electrical / power issue?
