Electric windows
Hi all I have an intermittent problem with my electric Windows on my 56 registered HSE. it seems to affect all of the windows not just one. sometimes they just don't want to come back up! it usually clears itself after turning the car off and leaving it for a short while but it is becoming annoying....

Last post on this one now. All is working fine. I dont have a fancy Faultmate I have a Lynx which I had for my Discovery 2 and now my Discovery 3. It works extremely well and for the home user I think it is good value. Just cleared a lock out on the fuel burning heater and that is now working fine.

Just so anyone with the same problem reads this the attched file shows the grey plug under the nearside wheel arch the arrow shows the approximate position of the white abs sensor cable, its the 3rd one in on the back row counting from the right. You may need to loosen the bracket holding the 2 foam...

Fixed!!! :D Broken wire under the nearside front wheel arch. The white wire had broken right off the big grey plug so I cut the other side and spliced it. Pain to get to cos the aircon pipes go right over the wires trapping the cables a bit. Christmas tree went out straight away and no "Special Prog...

So I have changed the sensor and still the same fault showing up. Left hand rear wheel sensor open circuit. Someone said it could be the wiring so I could do with checking the continuity from the wheel sensor plug under the car to the "wherever it goes". Can anyone tell me where the other end comes ...

OK so back from the North East and code reader used. Looks like rear ABS sensor "open circuit". Ordered one just need to see how hard a job it is. Hopefully that will make the beast stand up again!

Ok so tried all the bulbs, took them out etc and no change. Trying to sort out code reader but it may take a bit of time......Bit sensative these D3's aren't they when a bulb can cause all this, even though not in my case!
